About Us
The original Volta Elementary School was constructed in 1890, with our current facility built in 1959. Our country school sits on 6.8 acres of land in the country outside of Los Banos, CA. We have a beautiful view of the east side of the the mountains in the California Coastal Range, and students enjoy watching the cows roam in the cow pastures that surround our campus. Our campus was originally made up of three classrooms, but now has a total of 30! In addition to our regular program, we also house three classes for the Merced County Office of Education and the K-6 Independent Studies program for the Los Banos Unified School District. We pride ourselves on our small family atmosphere and the variety of options we are able to provide students and families.
